Halo Benefits demo run-sheet

One page for today's demo. About 20 minutes. Everything runs on the demo sandbox, so nothing reaches real employees or money.

Before you start. Open the demo sandbox link you were sent and enter its password once. Keep this page open beside it. If a screen looks wrong, use Fresh start on the sandbox page to get a clean copy.

1. The thirty-second start (3 min)

  1. On the sandbox page press Start a new company. A brand-new company opens on the Marketplace.
  2. Choose the SME starter, then Use a sample team, then Set up my scheme.
  3. It says Nothing is ready for your staff yet, with 5 benefits waiting for approval. Stop here.Say: "That's a new company with its benefits and team set up from nothing in under a minute. A second person signs off before anything reaches staff."
  4. Don't approve them live (each one takes about a minute), and don't open Guardian in this part.

2. Benefits from a document (4 min)

  1. In that company go to Benefits → Upload documents.
  2. If it says it isn't turned on yet, press Turn on setting up from documents.
  3. Upload the Dental policy PDF from the sandbox page's files. It takes about 35 seconds.
  4. Open the reading. Each benefit shows its prices and rules, and every value links to the page it came from.Say: "Halo reads the insurer's document and finds each benefit. It only asks what the document doesn't say, and nothing is built until you approve."
  5. Stop at the reading. Don't press Approve and build today. The built draft isn't ready to show yet.
Use a policy PDF live. The scheme workbook works but takes several minutes.

3. The employer's day (5 min)

From the sandbox page, Start as HR on the seeded company, Alderbridge Technologies (check the company name at the top, not "New client (sandbox)"). It opens on an HR data page, so go to Benefits from the menu. It already has live benefits, so start with View as an employee to show what staff see, then:

People set-up
Drop in the sample team file and show the upload checking it.
Benefit set-up
The live benefits, prices and rules in one place. Open a live benefit, not one of the drafts.
Reports and Renewals
Use Advanced → Reports (21 report tiles) and Advanced → Launch and renewals.
Add a new service
Marketplace: Halo Workplace Nursery sets up from the same place.

4. The employee (5 min)

  1. Start as Priya: Employee sign-up, then Choose benefits.
  2. Take-home pay: show what each choice does to her pay.
  3. Ask Halo: ask "what does my dental cover?"Say: "Answers come from the company's own policies, in plain English."

5. The broker (3 min)

  1. Start as Howden: Today's desk, then Figures.
  2. Clients and renewals and Ask your book.

If something goes wrong

  1. Press Fresh start for that role on the sandbox page and carry on from the same step.
  2. If a document reading is slow, move on to section 3 and come back to it.

Checked on the live sandbox on 3 Nov 2026 before the call: every journey opened, and the document upload read the dental policy in 35 seconds.
